It really depends on your industry and goals. Think of where you will use your headshot(s) and discuss it with your photographer, since it may involve having variations in attire. It is a good idea to tailor your headshot to the specific platforms you use. "But, can't I just use my one great-looking headshot everywhere?!" may be your question.  You can! Many people do. If you post your sleek suit and a tie headshot everywhere, however, people will not get a glimpse of your other side - a casual, fun-loving, approachable friend on Instagram or Facebook! So, a more formal headshot would be suitable for LinkedIn or a corporate website, while a slightly more casual image works great for social media profiles. One-look versatility is a good choice when it suits different professional contexts.
